How to configure centreon frontend for nagios in rhel6
First of all add rpmforge repository to your yum to download centreon related rpms to your system as these rpms are not present in rhel6 dvd.
Make sure your nagios is configured and ready and also nagios plugins installed.
Adding RPMForge Repository
To install pre-requisites add RPM Forge repository.
[root@nagios~]# wget http://pkgs.repoforge.org/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-1.el6.rf.i686.rpm
[root@nagios~]# wget http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/RPM-GPG-KEY.dag.txt
Use your favourite editor to open RPM-GPG-KEY.dag.txt, and remove the first few lines. The file should start with:
“—–BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK—–”
Then, execute the following:
[root@nagios~]#rpm –import RPM-GPG-KEY.dag.txt
[root@nagios~]#rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-1.el6.rf.i686.rpm
Installing Prerequisites for centreon
[root@nagios~]#yum update
[root@nagios~]#yum upgrade
[root@nagios~]# yum install httpd gd fontconfig-devel libjpeg-devel libpng-devel gd-devel perl-GD openssl-devel perl-DBD-MySQL mysql-server mysql-devel php php-mysql php-gd php-ldap php-xml php-mbstring perl-Config-IniFiles perl-DBI perl-DBD-MySQL rrdtool perl-rrdtool perl-Crypt-DES perl-Digest-SHA1 perl-Digest-HMAC net-snmp-utils perl-Socket6 perl-IO-Socket-INET6 net-snmp net-snmp-libs php-snmp dmidecode lm_sensors perl-Net-SNMP net-snmp-perl fping cpp gcc gcc-c++ libstdc++ glib2-devel php-pear
Additionnal commands are required to configure the environment properly:
[root@nagios~]#usermod -U apache
[root@nagios~]#pear channel-update pear.php.net
And finally:
[root@nagios~]#pear upgrade-all
Install the Broker module
Prerequisites
In order to use RPM from the CES repository, you have to install the appropriate repo file. Run the following command as privileged user
[root@nagios~]# wget http://yum.centreon.com/standard/2.2/ces-standard.repo -O /etc/yum.repos.d/ces-standard.repo
The repo file is now installed. Don’t forget to cleanup
[root@nagios~]# yum clean all
Install
Run the following commands as privileged user
[root@nagios~]# yum install centreon-broker centreon-broker-core centreon-broker-cbd centreon-broker-cbmod centreon-broker-storage
Centreon Installation
Download Centreon from following URL:
[root@nagios~]# wget http://download.centreon.com/index.php?id=4281
Extract the Centreon package:
[root@nagios~]# tar -zxvf centreon-2.x.x.tar.gz
Change directory:
[root@nagios~]# cd centreon-2.x.x
Run the installation script:
[root@nagios~]#./install.sh –i
The installation script allows custom configuration, this procedure will show you the best paths to use. Also, the Yes/No prompt questions will result in [y] answers most of the time.
Prerequisites check
If [Step 01] is successful, you should not have any problem here. Otherwise, go back to [Step 01] and install the prerequisites:
